I See You
Oh oh oh. I remember what it was I wanted to write about yesterday. Nothing too important, though. I have found a new treat for the goats. Not an edible one. No, foot massage. Or… hoof massage, I guess. Especially the soft bit in between the two.. cloves? Or whatever they’re called. The split in the middle of the hoof.
Hoof is a funny word.
Anyway. They love being rubbed in there. And generally the parts around the hooves, where the leg meets the hoof. They delight in that.
Anyway, today is video day. Cos I says so.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhLtXRjqKp8. The triumphant return of Vanilje. Here she is showing off a little of her jumping running skills. Cute.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mn27R369XrA. Mads and Magnethe snooping around. All the animal food is stored in those containers you see. And the goats have of course figured out how to get into them. In fact it’s one of my first memories of getting to know the goats. That banging sound from the lids. I’d walk around and look for the goats (that was before they had their pen built, so they were always free) and then I’d hear those bangs and I’d know exactly where to find them. Sneaky goats. They’re not supposed to get in there. Luckily the sound of the lids dropping also alert the staff at the playground. Hehe.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaueAs9-WOo. Sleepy Mads. This is live action of the pictures I posted. Of Mads collapsing. Also, you can see how he always digs his feet in the ground before laying down. Like he’s digging a little hole for himself to lie in. The funny thing is that he does it even when he’s going to lie down on a bench or something like that, where you can’t dig. You’ll see that in the video too. Funny.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptRsxgw0B3k. Bodil and her dog Lulu. You’ll see the goats’ apprehension because of the dog. Lulu is so small that they don’t freak out too much, though. But see how brave Vanilje is. She actually goes up to Bodil to investigate. I don’t think you’d see Mads or Magnethe get that close to a dog out of their own free will.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFvEucRnkMo. Mads drinking from the water fountain. What I really like about this video is the interaction between Mads and the boys who are controlling the water fountain. Must see TV.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RU8J0jnIMR8. Definitely must see too. Some scenes with Vanilje and the Other Two. The first part is hilarious. I think. Vanilje needs to find something to rest her leg on so she can clean her hoof. And Magnethe just happens to be on the ground, below her. So she uses Magnethe’s head. It’s too funny, don’t let my weak description stop you from watching it. It makes me LOL like an intarweb fad. The last part has Vanilje going up against Mads. Mads is on the ground and Vanilje is up on the bench. That’s probably why she’s being so brave. She even manages to get Mads to back off. Soon after I turned off the camera, Mads jumped up on the bench though. And then immediately Vanilje jumped down and ran to a safe distance. Haha.
That’s all. Week over. Back for more tomerrow.

I love Vanilje!!! She is soo adorable! You can tell Mads doesn’t like her getting to close to you. It’s almost like he is saying “My Plume!” He is very territorial isn’t he? I love where Vanilje is jumping on over it made my evening. I was laughing, she is so cute. I hope your week goes well for you. When is your Birthday? I hope it hasn’t passed yet. Take care my friend, Debbie.

Mads looks at the little boy at the fountain after he shut the water off as if to say: “I want more water.” Mads just stares at the boy till the boy understands and turns the water back on. What a thirsty Mads.

Debbie – Isn’t she the cutest? It’s so great to have her back. And Mads is very territorial indeed. He doesn’t like to share his food or his Plume. I like being his territory. That’s partly why Vanilje was jumping to me like that, when Magnethe or Vanilje see Mads being distracted by something then they quickly come to me because they know he won’t chase them away!
Thank you for the birthday wish, don’t worry about the lateness.
Debster – That’s my favourite moment in the video. The way they look at each other. Breaking the language barrier. And that’s exactly what the boy says by the way. “Mads is very thirsty!”

Heh heh… I only just caught up with the videos… I love it where Vanilje is resting on Magnethe’s head :)
