From The Frying Pan
Holy Moly. Someone pushed the summer button today. Surely the hottest day of the year so far. Not a cloud to be seen.
Almost too hot for me. But then I took off my jacket and sat down in the shade with Mads.
And then it was okay.
Winter seems far away. In both directions.
I love the tired looks of the lambs. Like they just woke up. Or are falling asleep. I do believe that is Dotty.
That is definitely Magnethe, grazing. I went and got her a bucket of water. She was sort of wheezing? And with her tongue out. Like a dog, you know? Seemed to me that she could use something to drink. I almost felt like drinking from the bucket myself. Sweet, cold water. Luckily I had brought a bottle of lemonade so I didn’t have to fight the goats for the water. I did have to keep Mads off my bottle though.
Vanilje. I like her shadow.
And that about sums up my day. Most likely my last Monday off. Tomorrow I really have to talk to Trine at TMU about my schedule. Less hours per day, no Monday off. That’s the plan.

I like smiling sheepies. Wonder what she’s thinking of???
It was up to 72 F (22.2 C) here today. One of the warmest days so far. Everyone wants the outside of their houses painted now that it’s getting warm. At this rate, we have work until December! And we have inside work to do as well.
That song in my previous reply was one I made up! You don’t know the next verse, because no one does. It is up to you to make one up. You can’t Google the answer. Use your imagination.
What’s this about an imaginary turtle? Luis Lemmings has two turtles, real ones I think. Now everyone has turtles, but me.

I need to look at Mads and all the other goats and animals. Considering what happened at Virginia Tech yesterday, there is much sadness here in the States. I know that the Debster will agree with me on that.
So for the rest of the week, I will keep my little piggie turtles happy, keep my Moominlizard supplied with fresh cut watermelon slices and just look at all the wonderful photos of the your goats, sheepies, piggies, and horses, Plume.
Something as simple as Mads napping under the warm sun will brighten my day in an otherwise terribly sad week.

Debster – I think it was almost 20 C here. Now the weather forecast says we might get night frost soon. Denmark always has the oddest weather. You just can’t trust it.
I never knew the painting business was so busy. I should have been a lumberjack. I mean, a painter. Well I’m going to be painting soon, at TMU. That’ll have to duu.
My imagination isn’t good for made-up song lyrics. Only made-up turtles. Harry is brand new, I just thought him up. Actually he insists that he’s been there all along, I just only noticed him recently. Then I tell him to be quiet or I won’t feed him. He likes to eat sunbeams. So if I shut the drapes he’s in big trouble.
Luis Lemmings – I know how you feel. There is much sadness, not just in the states. What a tragedy. The world is an ugly place some times. All the more reason to enjoy the beauty of the animals. Theirs is a mind that couldn’t think up cruelty like that.

Yes, I was watching the news about the Virginia Tech shootings. It is just so sad when I think of all the victims and their families. Makes you want to do something for them even though you don’t know them.
Just can’t image the demons that must have been in that young man’s mind. I feel for his family as well, they must be devastated about what their son has done.
We will definitely spend some special time with our animals this week. Take care Plume and Luis, I hope you are feeling better with your cold and sore throat.
