Sp*phtphtpthpthtp*oons.

I’m feeling better. Although the weather suddenly got very hot and humid. If there is nothing else to complain about then there is always the weather.

Yesterday I went to the bank and paid the down payment and first month’s rent for the appartment. Is down payment the right term? It might be “deposit” instead. Not that it matters greatly. You get the gist of it.

It took a little longer than expected. I went to the bank that I usually do my banking business in. But turns out that my savings account was made in another bank. And in order for me to get the 4% bonus and get it all worked out properly, I had to go to that bank. Luckily it wasn’t too far away. A 30 minute walk. Keeping in mind that I’m a slow walker.

And I got it done. Bills paid, contract signed. Things are coming along nicely.

The walk from one bank to the other took me straight by my old high school.

åsg

Århus Statsgymnasium. A trip down memory lane. Oh if you could turn back time…

Speaking of my old gymnasium, I got a comment from my old classmate Klaus a couple of days ago. Quite a trip too. There’s a reunion in the works, apparently. I would like to go, but I think it’s too much for me. I haven’t seen any of my old classmates from ÅSG since I dropped out. I was only there for a year and I barely said a word. So I don’t think I am considered a big part of the class. They would all be like strangers to me. It’s too bad, because I am often curious about what has happened to all the people from the past. But maybe the next reunion, in another 20 years. By then I will finally be able to say “haha, of course I don’t live at home anymore”.

Yes, things are a-changing. Like Aktiv Super, formerly Favorit. Slowly dying. It’s sort of sad seeing the shelves emptied and then taken down.

Like a ghost town.

20% discount isn’t sad though. I bought spoons and knives and forks and other little things for my appartment. I wonder if I should have held out and seen if they’ll be giving even bigger discounts later on. But then the store is almost empty as it is, so I didn’t dare wait any longer. Finally I have spoons!

Oh guess what I saw when I was bringing out trash today? Down by the trash dumpsters there was folded-up box for… a trampoline! I kid you not. Someone around here must have bought a trampoline recently. I wonder if I could borrow it for half an hour, just to jump around and act out my excitement.

I was taking out the trash because I have started cleaning my room. Throwing out some of the old junk that I don’t need to keep. And packing down the stuff that I want to bring with me. People say it’s odd to pack your life into boxes when you move. I say it’s more odd to not have a life to pack… but at least I have a bunch of video tapes and DVDs. My substitute for life.

Actually I have a bunch of old stuff I have saved, all the way back to my youngest schooldays. Notes and letters and pictures and stuff. I do have memories to put in the boxes.

Still 2½ weeks to go. I’m taking it all slowly. No rush.

My parents just came home. From their cruise of Sweden. I already miss the quiet. Although soon I will have all the quiet I want. Sweet. And it’s okay to have them home. It’s nice to be talking to them about my move. All the details and things. They are being supportive and nice. I shan’t complain.

That’s all for today. Toodles.

Well, at least you have spoons now. What a relief! I was starting to worry about you. hee, hee

You’ll have to look around your neighborhood for that person with a “bouncy” look and get yourself invited to use their trampoline.

Is there going to be another store move in to the one that’s closing? Stores look so sad with all that empty space.

That’s quite a high school. Ours was out in the middle of a corn field. Course everything around here is in the middle of a corn or bean field!

Debster – I was considering making some sort of spoon-drive, where people could donate spoons to the less fortunate, ie me! Hehe!
Hmm, I wonder if bouncy girl bought the trampoline? She doesn’t live around here though. So probably not her. I shall investigate though!
There’s going to be another store yes. I hope it’ll be soon too, it’s sad seeing the old one getting emptier and emptier. Plus I can’t shop there anymore!
It was the *state* highschool. So naturally it was huge. Actually we don’t have states in Denmark so that’s a bit odd I guess.
I wouldn’t mind some more fields here actually! Maybe some crop circles too.
