Bad Credit
I didn’t sleep too well last night. So I am tired now. Tired.
What did I do on a tired Sunday today? I watched American Idol. I am a bit embarrassed about that. There is a lot I loathe about American Idol, but I guess I have been hooked. Danish telly is showing season 5, two episodes every Sunday morning. Perfect for switching off the brain and dozing off in my comfy chair.
While watching AI and trying to ignore the self-disgust it induces, I also tried installing World of Warcraft. Which went fine for 5 CDs and then asked me for my credit card information when I tried to make an account. Credit card information? Urgh. I don’t have a credit card. I pay in cash, like real men do. I had the understanding that you could pay for your account with “game time” bought in shops. Also it was a guest account with a trial period. So there is no reason for them to have my credit card information. But it was still required. So I had to abort. Looks like there will be no Massive Muliplayer Online Role Playing Game fun for me this time. I hope my new ex-best friend won’t be too disappointed. I could ask him if he wants to go fishing or play chess or something. But when we talked while he was fixing the water counter, he made it pretty clear that he was majorly hooked on WoW. He said that he spends all the time when he’s not working on the game. So I doubt he’ll want to come fishing. That’s okay, though. I don’t fish. But too bad.
My parents invited me to dinner today. Pork roast. We seem to be fond of pork. My brother was there too, so it’s was a full family dinner with all four of us. If you don’t count christmas and maybe birthdays then I can’t remember the last time we had dinner together like that. Possibly never. At least not since Peter and I were kids. So that was kind of nice.
Also I had a kitten update from Desirée. She got to meet the kittens, and she reports that my little grey one was the one that came to her first. She seems to be a friendly and spunky little kitten. Looks like I picked the right one. Oh yes, she seems to be a SHE as well. While the other ones are boys. I would not mind that at all, truth to be told I think I’d prefer a little girl kitten. Of course it does make the name I have picked a little less appropriate. Do you think it would be horrible of me to name her Frodo? I could girlalize it to Frida, but my inner child will not be satisfied with that I’m afraid. Noodella gave me some suggestions for names. I really like Noodle, but I think I want a Danish name. Luna works in Danish and it also happens to be beautiful and also the name of a wonderful Smashing Pumpkins song. I like Luna. The only problem is that it’s a bit clichéed for a Smashing Pumpkins fan to name a cat Luna. And I am still smitten with Frodo. Hmm. Well I still have time to think. Opinions and suggestions are still welcome.
In the meantime, here are some other animals.
Getrude. I wonder if she will get as big as Yvonne?
“Hmm, what’s in there Plumey?”. It’s hard to keep a bag for yourself when there are goats around.
The lambs. I’m not sure I can still call them lambs. They are almost sheep by now. But when they see me they still baah sillily and jump and bounce over to me, in a very lambish way. Dotty and Mini, still lovely.
“Hmm, what’s up there Plumey?”. Click to see the fullsize, it looks much funnier I think.
Nina walking in the mud out back, where the pigs (sorry, the pig) roam in the daytime.
Vanilje, lord of the bench. At least until Magnethe or Mads come to take her place. Then she baahs and jumps off. She has grown a lot, but she’s still the little one.
Æsel paid a visit to the goats. They mostly ignored him. Magnethe pushed him around at one time, but other than that he jumped around and munched on the grass without trouble.
The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Especially for goats. They have lots of yummy grass in their fold, but they’ll still squeeze their head through any holes they can find in the fence.
And that’s all for now. Tomorrow: Laundry. Uh oh..

Do you think you’ll take Luna Frodo to meet the goats? Will they be jealous, you think? I like the name Luna for her – if she is a she, which we think she is. Frodo could always be her last name. How very posh to have a little cat with a surname! I tried filming the kittens today, but it was raining and that’s not very good for the camara. When it stopped, Mummy was nursing them, but I did get some 10 seconds of quiet nursing time. I’ll try again tomorrow. It should be dry. They’ve finally moved into the box my mum tried offering Mummy when they were first born instead of the cold corner of the dog house. I’m glad they have a cushioned crate now instead of the cold floor. I’m sure they were fine, but… well, you know. Jens put the m in the crate after checking their bits yesterday, and Mummy cat didn’t lift them out – she has done in the past when someone’s put them in the box. Maybe Mummy knows best – and now that they can move aorund better and potentially come out of the dog hosue and get into trouble she thinks it’s better for them to be in a box. Anyways… better get to bed. Hugs.

Introducing: “Miss Luna Frodo”, kitten of Denmark! Desiree & I must be on the same wave length, as I was thinking of the same name.
We called our female cat “Spaulding Gray” and that is a real man’s name, he was a writer. So, I think you can call kitty anything. She won’t have gender issues like Johnny Cash and his famous song: “A Boy Named Sue”. hee, hee

How about Freya? Similar-ish to Frodo, and is also the name of the Tok’ra character in Stargate.

Girl kittens are more desirable anyhow because males, even if fixed, like to spray to mark their territory. And what’s worse than a cat pee smell? Okay, lots. But it’s still pretty bad! I hope it’s a girl!

Oh, also.. they probably want credit card info so that when the tiral period ends and terms get fuzzy they can charge you in a heartbeat. What sneaks.

Here here, Corrie, I agree 100%. I’ve had a male and female cat & the girl seemed to be much more tactful in every way. I’m not sure if I’m using the right word, but lady cats most of the time are much easier to handle :) Just saying, that if it’s a she, it’s actually pretty good news :)
Luna Frodo sounds like an awesome name ;)
And AI doesn’t sound that bad compared with what I’ve been watching lately. For instance ‘Hey Paula’. For some reason I find the woman charming in her own odd little ways :D There is a show similar to AI in Lithuania and induces nothing but great feelings and make the soul sing! That was such an utter dirty lie… I have to go wash my fingers with soap now :D
The pics are cute, I got the giggles looking at Mads’ expression :D What graceful neck! :)))

Yep, I agree. Male cats have a nasty spraying habit. Hope Luna Frodo is a girl. What’s the matter with you “boys” anyway? ha, ha

Desiree – I sure would like to introduce my little kitten to the goats. Although I’d have to make sure to tell them not to eat her or anything. I think they see most things as food! Wonderful wonderful kitten, I can’t wait!
Debster – I like Luna Frodo. It just might stick!
Erica – That’s a really good suggestion, if it wasn’t for the Danish singer of the same name that I don’t care much for. I don’t think I could get past that!
Corrie – Yes, I had similar thoughts about the boy/girl thing. Looks like I’m getting a girl, I won’t complain!
And the credit card thing, yes they claim it’s for my own convenience so that when my trial period runs out I can quickly and easily upgrade to a permanent account. My ass. It’s for their convenience so they can rip me off as easily as possible. Oh well.
Milla – I think it’s good news indeed, that she’s a she. I hope she stays that way :)
I haven’t heard of Hey Paula, but say hi to her from me. And hugs :)
Debster – Boys are icky :-P
