Of Plume And The Weather
Wow it has gotten cold. Freezing in fact. I deduce this by the fact that all the puddles have iced over. Also I can see it snowing in some of the footie transmissions on the telly. Snowing! Unfortunately in other parts of the country, not where I live. But who knows. Maybe I will get snow soon as well. Oh I would like that very much.
It hailed the other day. In fact it started hailing right when I was leaving the goats on Thursday. I felt a little bad about it. They went up to the fence to see me off and then the hail began to fall and they started running around, Mads complaining loudly and swirling his head about. I think they like hail even less than they like rain. I felt a little bad about leaving them like that. But then sitting outside in the hail is not much fun for a human either. So I ran like a chicken for the safety of the bus stop.
Today I had dinner with the parents. We had duck, which we very rarely have. I got to bring the leftovers home. I shall duck for days. And my mother promises soup, soon. And now I am tired and shall go to bed relatively early. Before midnight. Imagine that.

Hail, hail the gangs’ all here!
We had vegetable soup last night for supper. No duck though!
We’ve have a couple of frosts here, but no hard freeze yet. Enough to take care of the flowers and tomatoes. Time to clean up the garden for next year.

Debster – Soup, a meal fit for a king. And maybe a lowly Plume as well, if I should be so lucky.
