Knights Of The Nine Plumes
Oh I wish, I wish I would stop coughing. It gets so tiring. I am still snotty and coughy. And meanwhile the sun is pounding and it is blistering hot. It is most peculiar and uncomfortable.
But lookie here what I gots today:
The Complete Calvin & Hobbes. And a sword.
I ordered the CC Collection from a comics store that also sold live roleplaying gear. And I felt the need to get myself a sword. to satisfy my inner boy. And keep the orcs at bay. It’s a bit disappointing, though. The sword. It does not quite look like the picture in the webshop did. But oh well, it’s a cheap toy and it’s not like I plan to run around and use it. I just think everyone needs a sword. I know the American constitution is all about guns, but I think a sword will do just fine if the king of England decides to harass me
.
The Calvin & Hobbes collection is a beauty. Heavy too. Like a sack of bricks. I have most of the Danish albums that were released. But I wanted the complete thing, and in English. Nice hardcovers and a pretty box. A pretty box full of my childhood memories. I grew up on Calvin & Hobbes. And I would do it all again.
Oh lord, I am tired and sweating and coughing and I could swear I hear penguins somewhere outside.

That’s so awesome – the Calvin & Hobbes Collection! And I’m sure my dear husband would love the sword. My friend Mette’s husband has a very heavy metal sword. I can’t actually lift it – properly, that is. Apparently ‘real’ knight swords were heavy like that, but what do I know. Obviously in time, Arthur will find a sword in a stone somewhere, but that’s a whole different story!

Man, those albums look really cool. I LOVE Calvin & Hobbes!
But the sword, dude.
Don’t get Plume mad you. He’s a Viking reincarnate.
Now, if you can get that helmet with the horns, you’ve got it goin’ on dude.
I’ve seen those heavy swords, and I’m afraid to hold them for fear of spraining my wrist!
I’m very sensitive, you know.

Desiree – If only they had made swords so heavy that no one could lift them. Imagine all the blood that would have been saved!
I hope all is well with the family.
LuisLemmings -I actually thought about getting a helmet, haha. But I figured that since I wasn’t actually going to use it or anything, it would be a waste of money after all. I am a pretty sensitive viking. I like to sit and drink tea and discuss world politics. Before I plunder, pillage and ravage.
