Refresh The World

Got a little scare last night, as my mother called from the hospital. My dad had been admitted with pains in the right side. Gallstone.

He’s back home today and doing okay. He has had scans and tests done, so now we’ll see what happens. I don’t know if he’ll need surgery or just medicaiton. But as long as he’s okay. Fingers crossed for that.

Yesterday I had my foot therapy. So my feet are nice and smooth now. Today I went and saw the goats. The kids are so big now, far away from the tiny little babies they were when they first arrived. They are getting quite pushy too. Butting me in the side and legs when they get the chance. It’s fun for me, but I hope they don’t make too much trouble for the visiting kids.

A couple of videos:

youtube.com/watch?v=joz_qr-zx0Q. Magnethe sneezing and snorting warning signals. There was something that got her on her toes. Maybe she spotted a dog or something. But all of a sudden she was very alert.

youtube.com/watch?v=GD268679rBA. Some fun with the kids. And scratchies for Magnethe. I think in the start of the video you can see that there is some construction going on? I’m not sure what they’re doing exactly. But it’s been going on for more than a week now. It makes it a little hard for me to find my way around there. But I’ve managed so far.

So there you go.

I am sorry your dad has gallstones. I have 1 and when I realised its presence, it was more painful than both childbirths combined! Ouch! I don’t think there’s such thing as medicine. Just diet – low fat, no eggs, no spices, lots of water and all that jazz. And then, if the pain comes again, removal. I am DEFINITELY going to have mine taken if it ever rears its nasty little head again.

DesirĂ©e – ouch indeed! That doesn’t sound nice at all. My dad got some painkillers back with him, they are apparently quite powerful as he says he needs to go to bed when he’s taken them because they make him so drowsy.
I thought medication was possible. But I really have no idea. It will be quite a while before we find out more about my dad’s condition.
