Yesterday I went to the eye doctor to have the cataract treatment results looked over.

My regular eye doctor was closed for the holidays, so I had to go to another one. Luckily there’s another one (if not more) downtown. So it was just five minutes longer on the bus. And the checkup took a minute or two. Nothing of interest to be noted. The new eye doc had no information on me, so I had to explain my situation all over. She asked how much vision I had left and I guessed it would be 10-20% on the left eye. We did a test. I could read the 10% line, I could almost read the 20% line. So probably around 15%. It was probably like 5% before the last treatment. And that is of course on one eye. So I don’t have 15% left, I have 15% of 50%. That’s not a lot. But I’m glad I got that little bit extra. It makes many things just that little bit easier. It means a lot. And I am still happy about that.

After the eye doc I stopped by the goats and said hello. It’s so darn cold that when I’m forced to be outside, I might as well take advantage of it and go see them. I didn’t stay too long, but it was good to see them. Just hearing them baah when I arrive always makes me feel good. It will probably be a couple of weeks before I see them again. Because of the holidays. But at least I still have the keys to the place if I really feel the need for a goat fix.

It could happen.
