Checked In

I’m still a little sick. I think I’m getting better, though. Right now I’m pretty good. Figures I’d be better just when I caved and agreed to make an appointment with the doctor. I’m going tomorrow morning. Unless I feel really good. Then maybe I’ll cancel the appointment. But I guess it would be best just to get a checkup. I have had throat troubles for a week and a half, so better to get it all sorted. Need to go see the goats again too, though. I miss the little one.

Speaking of which, here are some pictures from my last visit. It was raining when I went up there. Probably not smart to go out in the pouring rain when you’re still sick. But ah, the rain stopped soon after I got there so I had some nice sunshiney time with them.

Inside.

And out.

And some pictures of me holding the little one. Mio is getting better with it, she’s less nervous. The baby even slipped through the fence at one point and Mio didn’t freak out as much as I had thought she would

And then some on her own.

And finally just one of Bob.

He was kind of rough-housing with Preben. They were running around chasing each other. And leaping up in the head-butt attack mode. And Bob was standing up to Preben a little. I hope they’ll be getting along better soon, don’t want them fighting all the time. I think Preben has been showing a little more temper lately. He’s such a sweet buck, but he better behave if he wants to stay!

Finally, some videos.

First a short one of the baby trying to get inside. It takes a few tries:

This is when the camera was accidentally set to black/white. Me holding the baby and she starts to get a little braver and climbing on me.

And this is the latest one:

Even bigger now and jumping on me a little. Scaling mama. Escaping through the fence. General sweetness.

Good times. Hopefully more to come soon.

Oh, she’s so sweet. She is very friendly. You’ve got yourself quite the lap goat and I think Mama might want to be sitting in your lap, too.

I wonder what the goatzies think of us? Your new baby looks at you and sniffs you. I wonder if she’s thinking what kind of a goat are you? Where’s all your fur and horns?

Hope you are feeling better or start feeling better after you’ve been to the doctor. No fun being sick in the summer.

We had a little rain yesterday, but it was sure hot and humid today. Depending how far tropical storm Isaac goes, we might even get some rain from that. We don’t need 20 inches of rain like Mississippi and LA are going to get, but 4-6 inches would be great!

Debster – I’m feeling better, thank you. I’m actually supposed to see the doctor in 10 minutes, but I’m feeling so well that I cancelled the appointment. So I hope that won’t bckfire.
Hope you’ll get some rain. I think our summer is winding down. Temperatures starting to drop below 20. But I’m still hoping we’ll get a last little squeeze of warmth.

Oh and happy birthday! That’s today, right? Maybe I’ve been confused by the fever, but in any case happy birthdays to your and your sister!

  4. Debster Says:

No you’re not confused! My birthday is the 28th and my sister’s is on the 27th of August. Thank you for the birthday wishes. Glad you’re feeling better.

We’re taking the computer to the shop for some problems, so if you don’t hear from me for awhile – that’s why. I haven’t been abducted by 30 cute baby goatzies . . . hee, hee!

Debster – I hope you had nice birthdays! And that the computer gets sorted. There will probably be an abundance of goat pictures and videos for you when you get back!
