Star Tangled

I am tired. Sleepy. Hard work on the crosstrainer the last 3 days. Resulting in further weightloss. So that’s good. Little by little I’m getting further along.

I have started eating brussel sprouts as well. I can’t exactly say they are yummy. They would probably taste better if I did some kind of preparation. But I just chop them and gulp them down with water. For health benifits, not for enjoyment. Yeah, yeah. My lifestyle certainly has changed. Over the last few years and very much the last few months.

On the goat front things are still fairly quiet. Some rain and shine and good goat times. Kamel had an accident after I left on Monday, though. Apparently she got tangled up pretty bad in her rope. I think she ended up on her back, unable to get up. She was limping on one leg on Tuesday. She seemed okay, though, walking around, butting heads and in good spirits. We kept an eye on her. Sigrid told me to make sure her leg wasn’t getting warm as that might be a sign of infection. But she seemed okay. And on Thursday she was pretty much back to normal, as far as I could tell. So hopefully no problems now. Those goats. So much joy and so much worry! I wish I could stay with them all the time. If I had stayed longer on Monday I would have probably kept her from getting tangled up in the rope, or at least been able to get her free immediately. I hope she didn’t have to lie like that for too long. I love spending time with them but I also feel a strong draw from my fitness equipment. I want to spend time training as well. If only I could bring the goats home with me so I could watch them while I was exercising! A goat gym. Why is there not such a thing?

Well, photo time.

Rainy day Mia.

Dried off.

Mia and myself.

Mia and Palle.

Kamel getting better at hide and seek! She’s a little too wide to hide behind that tree, though.

And finally Palle, demanding attention.

And a goatlog with the fun goat stuff from the week.

And that’s all, goats. I an barely keep my eyes open. Bedtime.

Mia looks pretty content with her head next to yours. Kamel is so pretty. I like her soft brown color. We had a very brief shower of rain today. Not nearly enough though. Bummer!

Hope you’ll get more rain soon! I am always content when my head is near a goat!

I don’t like brussel sprouts. Have you tried cooking them in a small amount of water in the microwave or steaming them? Put a little black pepper or seasoning on them and maybe a bit of fat reduced spray butter. I think you can also put them in the oven under the broiler for a few minutes, too.

Are you in training for a mini-marathon or for the “running of the goats”?

  4. Plume Says:

I haven’t tried cooking them no. I just chew them down raw with water. Not pleasant, but I’m eating them for the health benefits not the fun!
Running of the goats, I would do that!
