Springtime For Goats

Another week has gone. With Easter holiday and increasingly sunny weather. Starting to look a little like spring again. Quite lovely.

Not a lot going on. Had to have the super over to fix my bathroom drain. Again. I don’t enjoy having to stay home for that. Managed to get some good exercise in, though. I’m finding it hard to get completely back on track with the healthy living. But I’m working on it. Hopefully the weather is getting a little warmer now. That will help with the exercising.

The goats are good. Peanut and Popcorn are growing, and are everso lovely and fun. They keep a smile on my face. I miss Bruce and Clark. But I thope they’re doing well in their new home. It’s odd not having them around. The little twin thugs. I’m just trying not to think too much about it really. Nothing I can do about it. Appreciate what you have while you have it.

Still not in a writing mood. Well, what else is new. I should start writing the blogs earlier. I always end up having to rush them because it’s almost bedtime. Let’s go to the photos. This is less and less a blog and more and more a roundup of goat media. I blame Facebook. And the government.

First a little enhanced Kamel pic, done by one of my facebook friends. Lovely.

Popcorn on the left, Peanut on the right.

And a goatlog from Monday and Thursday with lots of sweet stuff.

And that’s all for this week folks, see you in the next one.

Happy Easter (a day late). We had lunch at my sister and her husband’s house. They made a baked ham and cheesy potatoes. We brought a veggie tray and dip, baked beans, and apple salad. And my Mom and Dad brought strawberries, angel food cake, and whipped topping.

Everything was yummy and better yet – there were left-overs to take home! Hooray.

Everything is really starting to get green now. The goats have been grazing on new grass and are very happy campers along with Snickers. I have some tulips poking up leaves and some of our other plants are starting to get small leaves on them.

The hummingbirds are only a few states away in their northern migration. We usually see them around April 18 or 19th, but I might put my feeders out a bit early this year just in case there is an early arrival flying by.

All the birds are singing loudly, the frogs are croaking, and flowers are blooming. We are supposed to have rain the next 4 days, so that should really get the grass growing.

We still haven’t found out what happened to our favorite donkey who lived where we got Snickers. There was another baby donkey born there meanwhile. That makes two so far, with one more mama ready to have her baby at any time.

Our landlord’s cows are starting to have their babies. One of the mama cows had twins recently. I think they are having to bottle feed one or both of them for awhile.

You always make me hungry with your food descriptions! I had a quiet Easter, with no fancy food. But good times with the goats. Not too bad. And spring is here, more or less. Thankfully. Donkey and cow babies, I bet they are sweet too. I wonder what hummingbird babies are like? Well, most babies are cute I think. Here’s to the weather!
