Good goat times today. Quite lovely out. Fair bit of sun. Up to around 18C/64F which is about as good as it’s going to get right now. Next week it’s going to get even colder. Sigh.
But I enjoyed the sun today. And the goats, of course. Built a new thing today. Nothing spectacular, but we had fun with it. I’ll show you when I get the pics done. We had sweet visitors at the fence too. Bunch of little kid. One of the boys thought the goats were teh FUNNIEST thing in the world. He could barely stop laughing. Gotta love their enthusiasm!
Hopefully we got new generations of goat fans growing up.

Here is my new construction. We’ve had a pallet leaning up on the goat shelter for months not being used. So I decided to drag it over to the pile of branches and add to the structure there. It’s not too long ago that I added a second pallet to the pile branch. That’s the one Milo is standing on in the backround. So now we have a three pallet long bridge onto the pile of branches. Always nice to have more stuff for them to climb around on. It didn’t take more than 30 seconds before Mia was exploring the new construct. It didn’t take too long before the pooper troopers were fertilizing, or should that be christening, the new platform with goat berries.

Man. Radicals are weird. It’s funny how you can basically just interchange the words, they’re saying the same things just with different words. It’s like that episode of Star Trek with the two aliens, one is black on tthe right side of his face and white on the left side, and the other alien is reversed. It’s almost funny.

While i was getting ready to construct the new thing I leaned the pallet on the bench. Of course it took about two seconds before there wre goats climbing on it. “What’s this thing? What are you doing with this thing? Do we get treats if we climb on this thing?”

I wasn’t surprised that the goats immediately started climbing around on the new pallet, but I was pretty surprised to see this. Haha. Mia and Milo settled down and relaxing on it. You wouldn’t think it was the most comfortable or secure place to sit, but whatever works! Maybe they feel like they’re making camp on top of the mountain. Pretty cute seeing them sit together in the middle of the pile of branches.

Tried a new pizza place today. Wasn’t good. Oh well. But I tell you what, this iced Pepsi Max with frozen Faxe Kondi light is darn good. Liquid gold.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to find pizza you can eat when you can’t stand onion or garlic? It is literally nearly impossible.

Might be my imagination but I felt like Sassy’s belly was looking extra big yesterday. I was drumming on it and it sounded almost hollow. Maybe she was having gas haha. If I didn’t know any better I might have guessed she was pregnant. But I guess it’s just the benefit of being the biggest and strongest of the littles. She definitely does not skip dessert.
I wish we could have babies. Almost tempted if we couldn’t have a buck over for a visit. Get a little boer kid from Mia! Sigh. Baby fever. But along with babies and pregnancies come health concerns and worries. I’d rather have Mia grow old in great health than risk complications. Still. I miss having goat babies around.

Good goat times today. A lovely day. It started a little bit chilly and there were a few scattered raindrops now and then. But the sun came out well and the temperatures got up around 20/68, which is what I consider the benchmark of summer. It could well be the last of those days I’ll get this year. The last until sometimes in May 2021 potentially, assuming the world is still here by then.
I digress. Lovely blue skies and sunshine and warm temperature and happy goats. Mama like.
Lots of lounging around. And some running for treats. Sweet visitors too. A young lady with a couple of kids, I think maybe a daycare outing, came and setup a picnic right outside the pen. That was pretty cute. They ate their food and watched the goats. While the goats watched them eat their food and wondered by they weren’t sharing. Oh the humanity! We should have sent out the bandit to steal their picanic basket.

The corona numbers in my region are steadily falling. It’s almost as if doing stuff actually works instead of shrugging and accepting people dying like flies. Who knew.
Anyway. We’ll see how that goes.
Unfortunately my dad isn’t doing so well. Looks like the fix he got didn’t fix anything. He’s got a doctor’s appointment on Friday so hopefully they can figure out something. He’s in constant pain and it sucks. I hope they can find out what’s wrong with him.
Mom is doing better, not perfect, but better. Peter’s doing ok. I’m still a bit dizzy, but I think it’s getting better. More iced creams would probably help.

Here’s Sky sitting up on the platforms on Mt Pilebranch. Good safespot because it’s hard to rush at her.
She’s reminding me more and more of Yogi. Her voice is kinda gruff like Yogi’s was. When one of the others chases her away she usually lets out a little gruff complaint. And like Yogi she’s sweet and gentle and smaller than her companions and prefers to back off and run away from the bigger meanies. She’s got this new habit of coming over to me and starting to lick my hand or arm. She’s so sweet.
Only big difference, other than her age, is that she barely has a beard. While Yogi had maybe the most impressive goat beard we ever had.

The scroll wheel on my mouse just stopped working. You have no idea how dependent you are on such a simple thing until it stops working.
In a panic I was already looking at websites to buy a replacement mouse. Then, on a hunch, I picked up the mouse and put my mouth on the scroll wheel and blew air in and out a few times. Seems to have fixed.
I will probably get a sexual harrasment lawsuit from the mouse, but we’ll jump off that bridge when I get to it.

Instead of Raised By Wolves they should have called it SciFi Project Involving Ridley Scott. I almost gave it a miss because the title did not appeal to me. Until I randomly happened to see that it was a scifi thing involving Ridley Scott. And damn, three episodes in and it is so good. Excellent scifi.
So my recommendations so far: Ted Lasso, Raised By Wolves, and the new Bright Eyes album. A Comedy, a scifi drama and a music. Loving all 3.
Now let me tell you what I think about the latest politica *shadowy figure hits me over the head with a club and drags my body away*
