Happy Mio Monday everyone. I hope it’s a good one. My plan for the foreseeable future is to just keep on keeping on. we’ll have more answers in a month’s time, maybe, but for now there’s nothing to do about it and I’m just going to try to keep some normalcy. You know me, totally normal 24/7, thanks for helping me be normal.

Good goat times today. So good to be at the goat place again. Always happy when I’m with the goats. A beautiful sunny day. It had rained overnight though, so the grass was wet and drops fell when trees were disturbed. So we spent some time inside in the morning. but we did go out later on too. Did some running and funning. And good to talk to Jeanette too. She had some good news. She managed to talk to Merethe, the lady who took snl. They are doing well and it seems like things are working out good for them. They have had other goats that weren’t as sociable, apparently thee was some bullying going on in their herd and stuff. But snl are the perfect petting goats and easy to be around. Jeanette said “I told her, well that’s all because of Lasse”. Aw. I don’t know if it’s all me, but having a silly human sitting around with you always does make goats easier to be around I’m sure. It’s just nice to hear. Merethe said she wants to build a pen right outside her kitchen so she can be working inside the kitchen and her kids can be outside with the goats there and she can watch them while she works. Sounds like their kids are enjoying having happy goats. Exactly what I was hoping for, they are with humans that want to spend time with them.
Sounds like the timing was excellent too. The family had been looking for goats and there was a place that that had dwarf goats they could have. But they had been off on vacation in Croatia and Merethe hadn’t been able to get the messages. And by the time they got home, those goats had gone elsewhere. And that’s when Jeanette asked if they were interested in getting three little happy goats… So that worked out really well for us. And for snl and the family, it sounds like.
And Jeanette said that Merethe had told her that I could definitely come visit them and it was okay if I took pictures and videos and put it on Facebook too. So that’s great. I wasn’t sure if that would be ok, so I’d been expecting to have to ask permission. But that’s all good. And Jeanette said she would talk to Malene and see if it would be okay if we go out and visit the place during her work hours at the playground. That would be wonderful. I haev been a little anxious about that, I really don’t like going out other places than the playground and parents place and the supermarket. And I really don’t like being out later in the day. I’m just weird ok, I don’t like being around people and being out of my apartment. So if Jeanette could take me during her work hours at the playground, well that would be fanastic. That would make it a lot easier for me. We’ll have to see. But yes, more examples of how sweet Jeanette is and how she really cares about the goats and me and my needs. I have some more examples from today of her doing good for the goats, but i’ll post that later with photos. It’s nice to have some positive feelings at least. When you think about all the stuff I was worried about with the goats and the changes, things seem to have worked out as perfectly as they could, oher than you know not being able to have them all six together. But that was never going to happen. Seems like snl escaped a tragic fate and have a good home. And me and mms got a lovely new home closer to me and one that just seems better. Seriously, at the old place I went there and was alone iwth the gaots all the time, other than when outside visitors came by. But i barely ever saw staff around the goat pen. I know it’s partially because I was there in the morning. It’s not like the goats weren’t cared for at all. But it just feels so much better at the new place. Especially when Jeanette or Malene is there. They are lovely and I can feel they care about the goats and are happy i’m there. Feels good. Rambling over.

Milo and Sky getting some hay. When I got there today their hayholder was full of some icky, wet hay. I don’t know who put it there, but it was not fit for goat consumption. I was going to ask jeanette about it but I didn’t even get to it, when she came in she noticed it and got rid of the bad hay and put fresh hay in for them. Another example of her carring well for the goats.
By the way, I mentioned to her that at the old place we had fb friends from other countries visiting us a couple of times. I think she was quite impressed with that. She knows the goats have quite a following on facebook, that’s why she asked Merethe if it was okay that i would film and take pics when we got visit snl at some point, so the facebox people could get to see them too. She doesn’t have a facebook account herself, but she said she’d been considering it just to follow the goats.

Look, we got a rock! Okay, it’s a small one. But Milo seems to like it.
This is another Jeanette praisal post. She brought that rocka ll the way from her home. Apparently it was in her yard for ‘a hundred years’ but she thought the goats would like it. I’ve had a bit of a problem with my shoulder, so I couldn’t help her move it. She had to push it off the trailer that she had used to bring it to the playground. And then roll it into the goat pen. And roll it up the goat hill. And then she got a shovel and digged a little hole so it could get a stable resting position.
The grass was still wet so the goats just stayed inside and watched, a little concerned about why the human was roling heavy things around and then hitting the ground with a stick with metal at the end. But once Jeanette was done I went over to the rock and lured them out. And Milo immediately took position like this and stayed there. It’s good to have a rock to stand on, even if it’s just big enough for the front legsies. It’s a good position to stand with the hooves on it and watching out over the playground beyond the fence.
I really wish we could get the rocks from the old playground, but they are way too heavy for us to move, we’d have to hire a company or something and that’s not going to happen. But now we have a mini rock. And once the ramps on the platforms get fixed we’ll have something for the goats to jump up on for real. And they do have the bench and tub to jump up on too. But thank you Jeanette, you rock!

Godo goat times today. Starting to get colder. Jeanette remarked that today was the first day she started feeling the cold. I’m pretty much always cold, but when others start to feel it then you now the season is a changing.
But the goats were good. We had a fun Running Up That Goat Hill session that left Sky panting for breath. She’s the fastest and the most eager to get running. Such a little speed demon. Mia on the other hand is not fast and sometimes just doesn’t want to run. She’s smart enough to know the games I’m playing and that she’ll get treats even if she doesn’t play along. At one point she was standing for a while with her front hoofsies on the New Rock watching the littles run back and forth. Like a big uardian goat statue.
We had sweet kids visiting too. A daycare/kindegarten group that we’ve seen before. There was one new guy with them, a younger man. He seemed to take a shine to Milo. Even though Milo swung his head at him a few times. But they ended up playing ‘put thet stick between the horns and watch the goat go nuts’ for a while. And Jeanette said “looks like you got competition, Lasse!”. Oh I think Milo still likes me! He’s a character, though. Fun and easy to love. There was a guy at the old playground who bonded with hiim a lot. And the other day Jeanette told me that Milo was a big cuddlebug and when she opened in the morning he’s always first in line to get cuddles and attention. Easy to love a bandit. Its’ the scoundrel thing. Han Solo etc.
There was a human scoundrel too. A little girl went behind Mia and then squatted down real low and looked up at Mia’s rear. She stayed in that position for a bit and then got up and told her friend “Yes she has a butt too!”. Haha. Little butt inspector in the making.
