Shine A Light For Every Soul

Summer is back, with a vengeance. It’s been a couple of very hot days. And I do believe I read in the paper that Denmark has had its most sunny month of May since sometime in the 60s. So I can’t complain about the weather. Not much anyways.

Feeding the animals went fine yesterday. Apart from the sadness of Mads not being there. And apart from the fact that someone had forgotten to close all the doors in the goat house. The goat house is also the chicken/rabbit house. So when I pulled the sliding door open I was greeted by a big mess of bunnies, chickens and goats. Luckily none of the rabbits or chickens wanted to go outside. I could have spent all day chasing them around. But I got them in their proper places with no fuss. The goats, however, decided to go for a walk. My first instinct was to stop them. But then I figured, why not let them enjoy the sunshine? They went out back on the horse field. And I went about my work. When they heard me inside, putting their food in buckets, the immediately came to the (locked) hatch and wanted back in. Walking in the sunshine is only exciting until there is food inside. Then to heck with the sun! It was nice to let them in through the hatch, I don’t get to do that often. Seeing them jump in, one after the other.

Other than that, nothing new. Just trying to stay afloat. At least I don’t have a drinking problem…

That orange drink to the front of the picture looks good! You drink all that and you will be “afloat”.

I can almost see a big bunch of bunnies, chickens, and goats milling around in the barn. How many of those big gray bunnies does the playground have?

Every once in awhile when I watch one of your videos, I can hear a rooster crowing in the background.

    Man, those drinks look good!

We have something called “June Gloom” here in San Diego. It’s where everyday we’re greeted with gray, cloudy skies.

It can get pretty depressing sometimes.

The sun hardly comes out in all of June! Then the hot weather starts.

Just like with your food buckets, when I used to have pet dogs years and years ago, I’d tap their dog food cans with a fork and they’d all come running then jump all over me. I miss that.

I could imagine all the goats coming, hungry for some food. What a sight to see!

    Them drinks look yummy! :o

Looks like you poured enough drinks for me, LuisLemmings, Clare, and yourself! When does the party start?

  5. Milla Says:

Heh, seems like I get the empty one… I’ll bring some ice tea then :) and snacks :)

Debster – That one is Fanta Exotic. Fitting name eh?`
I’m not sure exactly how many gray bunnies there are. There are some in the bunny house, in cages. And then some running around with the chickens in the goat house. Maybe I should count them. You don’t fall asleep if you count bunnies, do you? Only sheep, I hope.
That’s not a rooster you hear sometimes, that’s Gertrude the pig. She’s a little confused.
..no, just kidding. There are a couple of roosters I think. I’m not good at telling roosters and chickens and hens apart. That reminds me of a Seinfeld joke. But nevermind that.
SHARE my drinks?! What kind of goat would I be if I shared? All for Plume!

LuisLemmings – June Gloom sounds fun. Or well. Not really. The June part sounds okay. The Gloom part not so much.

Clare – Them taste good in mah mouth.

Milla – Sounds like a treat!
