A new thing at the playground. That wooden board across the opening of the goat house. They used to have a problem with hay being pushed out of the goat house and ending up everywhere. So i guess this is good for stopping that. But I must admit I don’t like it. It’s too tall. I wish they’d sawn it in half or something. Even though it’s not that tall, it’s still troublesome for the littles, especially when they’re in a hurry. And it’s positioned in a way that will make it hard for me to sit on the top of the stairs. Or take pictures of the goats sitting there. And I guarantee at some point sooner or later I’m going to trip over it. But oh well. At least it’ll help keep the place tidier. And hey, Mia looks cute sitting there still.

Good goat times today. A beauuutiful day. Upwards of 16C/60F and lots of sunshine. For Denmark that’s practically high summer. Perfect weather to hang around and do as little as possible with goats. Bit of headbutting (the goats, not me) going on. And some treats and tomatoes handed out (that one was me). Some of the usual slight maintennance of moving branches and pallets and platforms to make sure it’s at its best. Other than that, just sitting in the sun.
The greems are starting to grow too, hopefully I’ll be able to start bring a bouquet of fresh leaves in the morning again soon. I miss that.

Had the chance to have a little chat with Anne at the playground today. I can now confirm that we do in fact have a new barn cat. And furthermore, we have two! A boy called Heino and a girl called Nala. Nala is the smallest one, so I think that must have been her that I have met a couple of times. I’m not completely sure, though. Heck, I might have met them both without realising. Without seeing them both together I’m not sure I’d ever be able to know who’s who. But it’s nice knowing we have barn kitties. Hopefully we’ll get to see a lot of them.

I have a fragile mind. I was having problems with my cc today. And it’s not even the problem itself that got to me, it’s the idea that I could be forced to call phone support about it, that has made me feel miserable all day.

Had a checkup at the eye doc today. No news is good news. Normally I go every 6 months to get checked, but last time it was at the height of the rona so I skipped an appointment. First time since the eye problems began that I’ve gone that long without being checked. But things are stable, so that’s good. In fact my sight test was a little improved, the doc said. I’ve been feeling like my vision has been a little worse. I think it’s just statistical divergence. Margin of error. But as long as things are stable, that’s what matters. Talked a little to the doc about my experience. How fast it all went all of a sudden back then. I was incredibly close to going completely blind. It was pretty much pure luck that it didn’t happen. So I’m happy with the sight I do have. And the prognosis now is good. Meaning, for it not to get worse. For now at least. It’s one of the things that weighs heavy on my mind when I’m depressed. Knowing that I’ll never be able to see better. It’s only going to get worse in time, and that’s hard to live with sometimes.
But stable for now, so that’s good.

Both my parents are getting the vaccine today, so hopefully that will go well. I have bneen worrying about them a lot through all this, and hey it’s not like I’m going to stop worrying. But hopefully they won’t see any serious side effects to the vaxx.
Not sure when my turn will come. i’m pretty young, I’m not sure how much my pre-existing conditions will count for this. My brother ought to be higher up, what with his kidney transplant and all.
What a crazy twist and turn the world took all of a sudden.

Oh yeah, suppose I better post a followup about my parents and the vaccine. My dad said he had a sore arm, and the day after he got really tired, but he didn’t know if it was connected to the vaccine. But other than that it seems like it’s all good.
I’m not gonna lie, it’s a little scary when you hear about all the blood clot stuff right as your parents are getting the shots. Even as beyond numbers rare it is, it’s still hard not to worry.
But then it’s hard not to worry in general.
Lots of debate in Denmark these days. I haven’t really been paying super close attentino, but it sounds like we aren’t going to be using the AstraZeneca and J&J vaccines here, although the medical guy said he wouldn’t hesitate to use them if our situation was more serious. Generally I think Denmark has done very well, and hopefully we are nearing the time when things can get back to some kind of normalcy. Hooves crossed.
