See You Ventilater

Daylight savings time has hit Denmark. So now my mornings will be a little less dark. At least for a while. I could use some summertime, though. How long before it’s summer again? Where did I put my calendar…

Tomorrow I will be having visitors. Workers. They are checking the ventilation system in the building. They will come sometime “between 8 am and 4 pm”. So that’s nice and specific. I always hate having strangers in the apartment, but I’m sure it’ll be done with quickly. Nothing to worry about.

I can’t believe it’s November already. I really have to find that calendar. It can’t be right. November. That’s almost christmas. Better start decorating soon.

Our Daylight Savings Time starts this Saturday night/early Sunday morning. It will be soooo dark now early in the evening.

My Dad’s birthday is Nov. 3rd, but we’re all getting together on Saturday for a noon meal and celebration. He is very hard to buy for. I got him some heavy socks since he has diabetes and needs warm socks like someone else I know! And I got him some “Tangerine White Tea” to try out.

He and my Mom have “tea” in the afternoons with a little snack so they aren’t so hungry by dinnertime. I also bought him some mushrooms in a jar as he likes mushrooms (like me) and Mom doesn’t. This way she can fix a few for him, with say a hamburger, and she doesn’t have to eat any.

I like mushrooms in everything – tuna casserole, goulash, spaghetti sauce, on salads, etc. My husband says I eat mushrooms on everything except ice cream! hee, hee

We have our election for governor and some other offices today. We’re wanting the Republicans to gain more offices throughout the US as things just aren’t that great with the current administration. We’re “capitalists” who like small government. We’ll be watching the TV tonight to see what happens.

I know you don’t like all the “visitors” coming into your apartment, but at least they’re checking on things. Nothing like renting a place and having a hard time getting things fixed or replaced when there’s a problem. You’ll do just fine and they’ll be gone in no time at all.

Debster – Happy birthday to your dad! I hope you’ll have a nice time on Saturday. And that they won’t be serving any hay. At least not to the humans.
I’m sure he will enjoy the socks. In fact, I meant to mention to you that I have digged out the socks I got from you again, now that the weather ahs turned cold here. They are still excellent socks. Although I kinda want white socks, like Magnethe’s. I wonder if I can do a trade with her? A brown/red goat in white socks, it makes no fashion sense!
You and your mushrooms sound like my mother and onions. I like mushrooms a lot better.
