Mine Smell Like Honey
It was time for the dentist today. And I went all by myself. I’m not sure, but I think this may be the first time I have gone alone to an ‘official’ thing. I usually have my dad with me to help me along. But now that my eyesight is a little better, hopefully I can start doing more things on my own. That’s a nice feeling, naturally. Free as a bird.
And everything went fine. The dentist’s office isn’t too far away. In fact it’s only a couple of minutes away from the playground. So it was easy to find. And my teeth are still fine, I’m happy to report. The dentist is a nice fellow. He remembered me, and my brother. Although he thought I was the younger brother. Not surprising. All my life people have been surprised when I tell them how old I am. I am cursed with an adorable babyface, I guess. And speaking of brothers and age, happy birthday to my brother. His birthday was yesterday. I was supposed to go have dinner with the family for it, but I wasn’t feeling too well so I skipped it. But I’m sure they had a rocking party without me.
After the dentist I popped on over to see the goats. And had a jolly good time with them. The snow is all gone, but it’s still frosty and cold. Lucky goats, I wish I could grow wool.
Some kindergarteners were there, having fun with the animals. They always like when I’m scratching Magnethe’s neck and she rolls her head back and just enjoys it. That usually prompts a couple of “look how much it loves it!” outbursts. There were also a couple of “she must be pregnant” remarks towards Magnethe, but she did not dignify that with a baah. Kids can be so rude!
Otherwise all seems to be well.

I should send you to the dentist. I have to get a root canal and a crown done in Feb. I may have to take a loan out on the goazies and donkey to pay for it, too. Glad to hear someone is not having teeth problems!
We still have snow. And more coming down today and tonight. The forecast doesn’t look like it will be above freezing anytime in the next 10 days.
The bird feeders have been busy with all the snow. There were 2 female cardinals and 2 male cardinals feeding this afternoon. The males are so brilliant red. I think the females are pretty in their own way as well, with grayish-brown feathers, crested head, and a brightly colored beak.
We are finally back to working at least for awhile. We finished a job this week with more to paint when the client gets their house put back together in the rooms we painted. Then we have some doors coming in to work on. We went to two places to get info to give bids for work. So hopefully, work is looking up a bit.

Debster – I’m not sure I’d like to go to the dentist if I had actual teeth problems. I think in fact I probably wouldn’t. You’re on your own!
Can you mortgage a goat? I’ve heard of loan sharls but…
I’m glad the work is picking up. I’m sure all the houses need to be painted for summer. Houses need new colours for every season, don’t you agree?!

Belated birthday wishes to your brother (who still shares his birthday with mine) and I’m sorry you couldnøt go due to feeling poorly. I’m very pleased that your teeth were all good, though. What a relief! x

We had a kitty kat feeding frenzy tonight. We had turkey scraps for them when we feed the other animals (along with regular kitty kat kibble). Then we went to a meeting tonight and gave them some chicken scraps from a chicken we had in the crock pot (slow cooker) yesterday.
I picked the meat from the bones and we made chicken and noodles for supper tonight (for the humans anyway).
Those kitties probably won’t move for a day or so, since they are so stuffed full of chicken yummies. They will want special treats from now on since they were so spoiled rotten today! hee, hee

Desiree – And belated wishes to yours as well. Hope he’s doing okay.
Here’s to teeth!
Debster – Lucky kitties. And humans. I could use a little chicken/noodle eatings. In fact, I think I’m going to make myself some of that. When I get some ingredients.
