I of the Ear

My computer troubles aren’t quite resolved. I know, I’m as surprised as you are.

But let not that stand in the way of good goat times. Here’s Bob: youtube.com/watch?v=qRJRtpLFak8I love Bob. I’m not sure Bob likes my shoes, though. Sneaky little unpredictable devils, aren’t they?

I was in bed not feeling too well today when the mailman rung my doorbell. I got not one but two early birthday presents from Clare. Thank you Clare! It was most kindly of you. Speaking of my birthday, momma is going to be making soup on or around that very day. Just over a week from now. I can’t think of any tastier present I could possibly wish for. The weather has cooled a little again. I want to get back above 10 degrees, that’s what I’m hoping for. That and a little sunshine just to butter my toast.

The Danish soccer season has started up again. With a Brøndby win. We’re totally going to rock it out this year. As with many things nothing could go wrong with, it.

Tra-la-la. Up and atom.

Hope you are feeling better. We’ve been sick with colds this past week. My husband is getting better, but I’m still congested.

That’s right! Someone I know is going to have a birthday soon. Beware the Ides of March! hee, hee

Haven’t got enought cat hair to knit you a sweater, so you will be spared that horrible present. The cats seem to want to keep all their hair for some reason. Probably has something to do with one nice day, one snow day, one melting day, one nice day, one snow day, and so on . . .

Pssst . . . a little goat just whispered in my ear that you will be getting a birthday card in the mail!

Debster – Hope you’ll be getting better by now. My mother will eb making soup for my birthday so that’s just perfect for me. I shall look forward to the card as well! Too bad I can’t send you any soup in return. Not that I want to keep it all to myself.. not at all.. hmm..

Are you like that “soup Nazi” that was on Seinfeld? Won’t share your soup with me?

We made some good vegetable beef soup a few weeks ago. That was sure good. And we made some yummy chicken and noodles, too.

We did a chicken, rice, mushroom soup casserole in the oven last night. Now for some leftovers for tonight.

We did some hoof trimming on the goats yesterday. We had let them out of their pen in the yard and enticed them over to the bench for some hoof trimming with some treats.

I think Snickers was a bit miffed that we didn’t try to trim her hooves. She received a treat anyway for just being a good girl and not trying to eat a goat or one of us while we were busy with the goats.

I think we may have to sedate Snickers with some donkey valium so we can do some trimming on her. It’s either going to be sedate the donkey or sedate me as neither one of us likes the process!

Debster – I’m afraid I’m a bit of a soup nazi, yes. But it sounds like you have lots of great soup yourself, so if anything I should come over there and invade your kitchen! I will get my strategists to work on that..
I got the card! Thank you so much, to all of you. That was a lovely collaborative effort. Put a smile on my face.
